Sheriff’s Deputies Search for Carjacking Suspect

Kanawha County Deputies are investigating a series of crimes committed in Cross Lanes on Sunday. First, in Putnam County a man stole a car and drove into Kanawha County and car-jacked at gunpoint another vehicle. Sgt B-D Humphreys says that happened at Waycross Drive and Big Tyler Road. Then he stole another car at gunpoint. A man and his 13-year old son were inside that vehicle on Fisher’s Branch Road. That vehicle was found abandoned later, after the man broke into a home on Dalewood Drive in Cross Lanes. Kanawha County deputies are working with other local agencies, including the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to find the suspect. Submit tips at www.kanawhasheriff.us.
