Ohio Man Faces Charges in Beckley Shooting

Beckley police say a Columbus, OH man is facing charges for a recent shooting. The Register-Herald reports that 21-year-old Christopher Jones was arrested Friday in Columbus for a shooting near a Beckley bar. Charmaine Kent is the other alleged shooter and has been at Southern Regional Jail. Jones will be returned to Raleigh County in coming the weeks. Three people were shot when Kent and Jones allegedly opened fire on a crowd two weeks ago. One victim died – and she’s been identified as Chante Shivers.
