Charleston Works on Pothole Projects Across the City
One thing is sure about the spring, besides blooming flowers and trees, and that’s potholes. City crews in Charleston have their work cut out for them. Some asphalt plants, including ones in St. Albans and Kenova, opened up Monday, and Dept. of Highways crews started filling potholes with a hot patching process, which should be a permanent fix and an upgrade from the older cold patch process. Crews were seen along MacCorkle Avenue in Charleston Monday, and they’ll move to other pothole-ridden streets after that.
