Dispatchers needed in Kanawha
After losing five dispatchers to retirement and schedule changes over the past few months, Metro 911 in Kanawha County is looking for new people to hire. “The one thing about this job is every day is going to be different,” said Paul Dryden, Training Coordinator with Metro 911.
He runs the training program to be a dispatcher which takes about six months. They’re hoping to start the new training session in April. Applications can be mailed to the Metro 9-11 center or brought there in person and can be found on www.metro911.org.
