Superintendent’s Contract is Renewed

The Superintendent of Schools in Kanawha County has a new contract. Ron Duerring’s deal was renewed this week, which will keep him in place for at least another year. Kanawha County school board members voted unanimously to renew the current contract without a pay raise. Each superintendent across the state undergoes a yearly evaluation under state law. Duerring’s new contract goes into effect July 1.
