Man in a Parked Car Busted for Child Pornography

Foggy car windows on a parked car got the attention of a Charleston Police officer early Wednesday in the 7200 block of MacCorkle Avenue. When he checked on the driver, 37-year old Robert Wayne Pettit, Jr. the patrolman saw an image of apparent child pornography on the dash screen. Since it was near the Charleston city limit, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office was called to help, and during the investigation Sgt B-D Humphreys says more than 300 images of apparent child pornography were found. Pettit was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.
