Arson Investigation is On After Monday Fire

Investigators are looking into a possible case of arson afer a Monday fire. It happened in the 1500 block of 2nd Avenue before dawn Monday, and the Charleston Fire Department is investigating it as suspicious. Six people were displaced from two different homes, and there are reports that the homes are total losses. Two other homes nearby were also damaged, but there were no injuries. Anyone with tips should call the Charleston fire department.
