New bills

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has vetoed a pair of education measures and signed into law a bill requiring voter identification on the last day to act on bills after this year’s 60-day legislative session. One of the measures he vetoed would have allowed schools to be in session for the equivalent of 180 days, instead of 180 separate days.
