Still Time to Register for Spring Adopt-a-Highway Event
Volunteers will take to the highways later this month for spring litter cleanup with the Adopt-A-Highway program. The program is a partnership between the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and the West Virginia Department of Transportation’s Division of Highways. Last year, more than 10,000 volunteers from more than 760 organizations participated in the event and picked up about 17,000 bags of trash. Registration is still open for organizations to take part in the April 30 spring cleanup.
