Man Acquitted of Murder Faces New Charge
A Charleston man acquitted earlier this week in a Marmet beating death is now facing a federal gun charge. 37-year-old Miguel Quinones was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm as a felon on Tuesday— a day after a jury cleared him of murder in the 2013 death of Kareem Hunter in Raleigh County. Investigators say during his arrest in 2013, Quinones was found with a loaded rifle and couldn’t have a gun, due to a previous conviction.
