Half day school for Herbert Hoover

Half-day schedules will be held for Herbert Hoover High School students in Kanawha County due to flood damage. The school board made the decision yesterday, while also saying the high school students would go to Elkview Middle School to start the year as repairs are being made. The late June storm ripped the high school apart and federal assessments have not even taken place yet. Officials say the middle school location is a temporary one while another spot is put in place.
