Forestry workers out of work

More than three dozen West Virginia Division of Forestry workers are out of work due to budget cuts. The agency announced the layoffs several weeks ago after a new state budget sliced funding but the process had been delayed while alternatives were worked on. Despite efforts until the last minute, the 37 employees spent their final day on the job Friday. The layoffs are being called permanent.
