Former Mountaineer Wins Gold in Rio

A former West Virginia Mountaineer is a gold medadlist in Rio. Nicco Campriani is rifle shooting for his home country of Italy in the Olympic Games, and won gold in the men’s 10m air rifle after winning silver in 2012. Campriani has the 50m air rifle event coming up August 14th, and on August 12th he’ll shoot in the 50m rifle prone. Mountaineer Ginny Thrasher won gold in a rifle event over the weekend.
