Deputy on leave

A sheriff’s deputy in Greenup County is on leave after a driving under the influence charge. Deputy Brian Knipp is facing multiple counts after his arrest over the weekend along U.S. 23 in Boyd County. Officials say the 44-year-old was speeding and under the influence at the time. Knipp has been placed on unpaid administrative leave and will stay there until an investigation is finished.
