Flood money
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin’s administration has awarded more than $1 million in grants to small businesses devastated by floods in June. Tomblin spokeswoman Jessica Tice says almost $1.1 million has been approved for 122 businesses through the RISE West Virginia grant program. The businesses employ 772 employees combined. Two months ago, Tomblin introduced the program that aids small businesses with up to $10,000 grants.
