Bridge Closes Tonight in Clay County

A Clay County bridge that was damaged during the June floods is being closed to vehicle traffic this week. The state Division of Highways says the 91-year-old Camp Creek Bridge will shut down this evening, after significant deficiencies were found during a Sept. 1 inspection. The bridge has been on a 12-month inspection schedule because of problems. The bridge will remain open for foot traffic and inspections will continue every three months. The DOH says a replacement bridge is planned.
