Deer Caution

Deer caution is being urged while driving in West Virginia in the fall. State officials say about 40-percent of deer-vehicle collisions in West Virginia will occur between October and December. October and November coincide with the peak of the deer breeding season and the increased activity pushes up the chances of an accident. Hunting season may contribute to deer movement and increase the probability of a collision.
