Charleston Hosts Veteran’s Day Parade Friday
The Charleston Veteran’s Day parade is coming up tomorrow, and more than 60 units are expected to be part of it. This is the 75th Veterans Day Parade in Charleston, and it will line up 9 a.m. tomorrow on Kanawha Boulevard at the intersection with Leon Sullivan Way. It starts there at 10 a.m. and heads up Leon Sullivan Way, makes a left on Quarrier Street, travels on Quarrier, turns left on Clendenin Street, left on Kanawha Boulevard and finishes on the Boulevard at Capitol Street near the Union Building. WCHS TV says there will be a ceremony starting about 11:15 a.m. on the stage at Haddad Riverfront Park, paying tribute to veterans. U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito will be the guest speaker.
