Electric Upgraded For Some
Portions of West Virginia’s electric transmission grid are about to be upgraded. Appalachian Power and First Energy are building additional operations to accommodate the upgrades, which will include 25-miles of new lines and added substations. The cost for Transource Energy will hit 75-million-dollars and will be put in place to meet the needs of Kanawha and Roane counties. The PCS approved the project that will see Appalachian Power as well as First Energy build more facilities to accommodate the upgrades.
