State Lawmakers

State Revenue Secretary Bob Kiss is telling state lawmakers they need to make some changes, fast, or the state’s deficit could climb to over 400 million dollars. Kiss told lawmakers yesterday they have a couple of choices. They can make more cuts, or raise taxes. For the first five months of the fiscal year, the state’s revenue collections are 91-million dollars below budget.
