Gilmer County Schools

After six years of state run control, the Gilmer County schools are returning to local control. The West Virginia Board of Education voted yesterday to hand control back over to the local school system when school starts back up after the Christmas break. Over the next couple of years, the state BOE will continue with “provisional oversight.”
