Economy Growing

West Virginia’s economy is showing signs of growth. West Virginia Chamber of Commerce President Steve Roberts said yesterday the state had a net gain of seven-thousand new jobs between 2015 and 2016, reversing a five year trend of job reductions. Roberts said it is possible the aggressive nature of the state Legislature played a role in the economic turnaround by lowering the corporate and eliminating the business franchise tax.
