400 Bills Introduced
Nearly 400 bills were introduced during the first day of the regular session Wednesday. One of the bills that raised some eyebrows is the one proposed by GOP Senator Craig Blair of Berkeley County. He is proposing the conversion of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg from a public funded school to a nonprofit college. Bills that would change the date for primary elections and increase the legal age for tobacco usage to 21 were also introduced.
