One thing we know from JC Penney is that they plan to close up to 140 stores across the country this year, but what we don’t know yet is if any of the West Virginia locations will be shut down. The closings are expected to save the company as much as 200 million dollars and offer them an opportunity to compete better in the online marketplace. The company says they plan to announce the locations in a couple of weeks. There are nine locations in West Virginia.
