Amendment 1 on ballot in November

West Virginians will be voting on a state constitutional amendment in November. Amendment one asks voters to change the constitution to read that nothing “secures or protects a right to abortion or requires the funding of an abortion.” Supporters gathered on the Capitol steps earlier this week carrying “vote yes on 1” signs. Opponents say the amendment would allow politicians to pass laws banning abortion under any circumstances.
