Armstead and Jenkins Appointed to WV Supreme Court
Gov. Jim Justice appointed former House Speaker Tim Armstead and Congressman Evan Jenkins to the West Virginia Supreme Court. At the news conference Saturday the governor said the two conservatives can help restore trust and honor to the state’s highest court. Armstead and Jenkins will fill vacancies created by the retirements of Justices Menis Ketchum and Justice Robin Davis and will sit on the court until new justices are elected in the special election that will coincide with the general election on Nov. 6. Both Armstead and Jenkins have filed as candidates and will be on the ballot.
