Asphalt Co Lawsuit

Kanawha County is joining a class-action lawsuit against a group of asphalt companies accused of anti-trust regulations. The suit claims West Virginia Paving, along with a group of other related companies, created a monopoly that has driven up asphalt prices in West Virginia by 40-percent. The legal action was announced last week and initially included four cities. Kanawha County commissioners voted yesterday to join in.
