At Risk Teens

Community service is a cornerstone of the Kanawha County Youth Reporting Center programs. Produce Pedalers will provide an alternative outlet for at-risk teens in the juvenile justice system— with a community-wide impact. With technical assistance from the West Virginia State University Extension Office, teens at the Center will build and maintain raised-bed community gardens in a vacant lot next to the center. They hope is that these teens don’t end up back in the system.
