Attorney General Calls Today’s Work Stoppage Illegal
West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is calling today’s planned walkout illegal, and says state law and court rulings provide the option to seek an injunction to end the strike.The Attorney General’s Office says it will stand ready to help any county board of education or county superintendent as they enforce the law. The Attorney General also said he supports teachers in the quest for higher salaries and affordable health care, but he believes a work stoppage is illegal.
