Blankenship challenge goes to the Supreme Court
The state Supreme Court will hear arguments next Wednesday about whether former coal executive Don Blankenship should be allowed on the ballot in the U.S. Senate race. Blankenship lost the primary in May and said he would run in the general election as the Constitution Party candidate. The Secretary of State blocked his bid on the grounds of the state’s sore loser law. That prompted Blankenship’s challenge to the high court.
