Boone County Public Schools

The Boone County public school system will likely fall under state control starting next week. The West Virginia Board of Education voted yesterday to run the schools unless Boone comes up with a sound fiscal budget in the next couple of days. The issue has been going on for some time and includes pay cuts for employees and discontinuing some insurances. The state board has said a more solid plan going forward is needed.
