Boone County Schools Face Layoffs

Boone County Schools Superintendent, John Hudson will recommend later this month that positions be eliminated to save money. Sixty of 77 positions up for elimination are professional positions, including teachers and administrators. The other 17 positions will be service positions. A drop in tax collections as a result of coal industry layoffs is to blame.
