Budget plan

Drastic action is needed to keep the budget balanced in West Virginia. Budget Secretary Bob Kiss said yesterday during a conference call tax revenues are falling short of projections and work is needed to prevent a large deficit. Kiss says he plans on making recommendations to the governor in the next month or so to close the gap. Tax collections in the state are down nearly 15-million dollars compared to last fiscal year.
