Burglary suspect escapes on the West Side

Police are looking for a suspect in two burglaries on the West Side. A break-in and an attempted break-in happened at two homes on Fifth Avenue. The suspect stole checkbooks and other personal items from one home. A witness saw a man trying to break into another home and chased him on foot. He got away and was last seen on Central Avenue.
