Cabell County Sheriff involved in deadly accident

West Virginia State Police are investigating a crash the killed one person Sunday morning on Route two in Cabell County. Cabell county Sheriff Chuck Zerkle was driving his personal vehicle when a truck pulled out in front of him in the Lesage area. Eighty-eight-year-old Mike Carter, Jr. was ejected from his truck and died on the scene. Zerkle wasn’t seriously injured.
