Cabell Huntington Hospital merges with St. Mary’s

Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center have completed an acquisition plan that’s been years in the making. They made a formal announcement yesterday. The hospitals have been in talks since 2014, but the deal was delayed by a lawsuit that claimed the merger would lead to a less competitive environment. An agreement was reached in January.
