Call Before You Dig

Governor Jim Justice has issued a proclamation declaring April as Safe Digging Month. Governor Justice and the Public Service Commission of West Virginia encourage all West Virginians to call 811 at least two full work days before beginning a digging project. It’s not just a good idea…it’s the law. The West Virginia Legislature recently passed legislation imposing civil penalties for failure to notify the one-call system when required.
