Carjacking Suspect Faces New Charges
A carjacking suspect arrested after a pursuit is facing an attempted murder charge. Todd Boyes is from from Ohio, and was charged in Kanawha County Magistrate Court with attempted murder and fleeing with reckless indifference, and now faces new charges, including the attempted murder of a Charleston police officer WCHS TV reports Charleston Cpl. Renee Smith was in her cruiser and attempted to move out of the path of the suspect, but he rammed the cruiser. Boyes’ bond has been set at $1 million.
