CDC experts will help with Hepatitis A outbreak

West Virginia is getting some federal help to deal with the ongoing hepatitis A outbreak. Six experts from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will work with local health officials to assist with data management, data quality and case investigation strategies and procedure. There are nearly one-thousand confirmed cases of hepatitis A in the state. Most of the cases are in Kanawha and Putnam counties.
