Changes in Store for Toll Plazas

Drivers may notice some changes near toll plazas on the West Virginia Turnpike. The Parkways Authority Board okayed spending $690,000 for rumble strips that they’ll install this spring. The rough strips are meant to alert drivers to slow down and watch lane markers, and the goal is to increase safety for drivers and toll workers. There are also plans to add new striping to make lanes longer as drivers head into the toll booth.
