Charges Filed in Officer Involved Shooting

Charges have been filed following an officer-involved shooting incident near Chapmanville last week. 30-year old Tony Ritchie of Big Creek has been charged after officers tried to make a traffic stop and he refused to pull over and drove into a pavement construction zone before turning onto W.Va. 10. No one was hurt when the officer fired shots. Ritchie is being held at Southwestern Regional Jail on $250,000 bond. The West Virginia State Police Logan Detachment is continuing its investigation.
