Charleston Ranks Low on List of Best Capital Cities to Live In

Charleston isn’t one of the best state Capitals to live in, according to the personal-finance website WalletHub. They rank Charleston as No. 43 on the 2018 Best State Capitals to Live in overall, but there were some bright spots. Charleston ranked 18th for affordability,, but dead last – 50th for quality of life. The top three state capitals in the survey are Austin, Texas, No. 1; Madison, Wisc., No. 2; and Boise, Idaho, No. 3.
