Child is Struck by a Car Near High School
Deputies are investigating after a child was hit by a car Wednesday morning near South Charleston High School. Dispatchers said a 4-year-old child was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle at around on Chestnut Street at Eagle Way about 6:40am near the Par Mar store. The driver of the vehicle that hit the child was cooperative and remained on scene to work with South Charleston Police. The injuries are said to be non life-threatening.
