City in WV wins Contest

City leaders are back in Huntington after winning the “America’s Best Community” contest. The area was given the award earlier this week and the three-million-dollars that comes with it to revitalize the downtown area. The next step is to figure out exactly how the funding will be split up, something that hasn’t yet been fully decided. It will be used towards four primary projects including transformations to the Highlawn and Fairfield neighborhoods.
