City Leaders Get Raises After Compensation Study
A recent compensation study means raises for Charleston city administrators. The Gazette-Mail says the study was completed by Management Advisory Group International figured out appropriate classification and compensation systems and pay plans based on similar cities, and Charleston’s department heads’ salaries were boosted to get closer to those levels. In fact, nearly all of the city’s roughly 450 employees received some sort of raise after the study. The city had $1.5 million set aside for the pay increases.
