Company Seeks Injuction to Stop Capitol Construction Work
There’s a hearing coming up next week for a Putnam County contractor that wants to stop work on a security project at the Capitol Complex. McClanahan Construction of Poca filed for an injuction claiming that its bid was disqualified unfairly. Wiseman Construction was awarded the project even though McClanahan’s bid was lower. McClanahan’s bid said delays with some required suppplies would keep it from having the project finished in the allotted 120 days. A judge will weigh in at the hearing next Thursday August 20th.
