Couple Faces Charges for Trying to Sell Infant

A Fayette County couple is accused of trying to sell an infant for $500 to $1000. A couple called police saying another young couple tried to sell the baby to them and when they refused, they left the baby at the home on Chestnut Knob Road in Layland. 25-year-old Ashley Nichole Harmon, and her finance, 20-year-old Jonathan Flint, also left two other children, under the age of three, at the home of their paternal grandmother. WCHS TV reports both Harmon and Flint were arrested in the Highland Mountain area and taken to the the Southern Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
