Debate Continues on Greyhound Racing’s Future
A group of stakeholders is outlining a series of measures it says will aid West Virginia’s struggling greyhound racing industry. The report includes recommendations like allowing advanced deposit wagering so wagers can be placed online or over the phone. The group also wants the state to restore purse and breed development percentages to their levels before recent cuts and to allow for more flexibility in setting racing calendars. The group Grey2K USA opposes greyhound racing, and is against the plan.
