DHHR Puts Computer Upgrade on Hold to Save Money
In an effort to cut back on financial acquisitions, the DHHR has put plans on hold for a new computer system. The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources says the bids are excessive, so they’ve stopped plans to buy a new computer system that would track people’s eligibility for DHHR services like Medicaid. The Gazette-Mail reports the agency might seek new bids for the computer project with a more scaled back approach.
