DNR Plans Trout Stocking for Earth Day
The Division of Natural Resources has plans to stock more trout to celebrate Earth Day on April 22. Thousands of pounds of rainbow and golden rainbow trout will be stocked at five state parks: Blackwater Falls, Cacapon, North Bend, Pipestem and Watoga. The advanced notice doesn’t usually happen, but the DNR wants people to be aware not only of the opportunity to catch fish, but also of the chance to get outside and enjoy state parks for Earth Day. More weekend stockings are planned later this year.
